Officially confirmed deal: The Kansas City Chiefs finalize the signing of a 27-year-old player as their newest cornerback….

As the NFL’s new league year looms just a week away (March 13), the Minnesota Vikings’ front office is grappling with significant decisions. Whether it involves charting their course at the quarterback position or negotiating JJ’s contract extension, general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah is facing a busy agenda. However, this hasn’t deterred them from engaging with the Kansas City Chiefs regarding one of the NFL’s premier cornerbacks.

A recent report by Tyler Dragon at USA Today has unveiled the Minnesota Vikings as one of several teams expressing interest in 27-year-old L’Jarius Sneed. Drafted by the Chiefs in the same year as Justin Jefferson (2020), Sneed has already amassed two Super Bowl victories and established himself as one of the top CBs in the league.

Dragon highlights in his report that NextGen Stats regard Sneed as one of the premier zone cover cornerbacks in the NFL, conceding merely four yards per target and recording zero touchdowns while operating in zone coverage last season.

Sneed played college football at Louisiana Tech and he’s coming into his own at the perfect time. His rookie contract is now expired and L’Jarius wants to cash in on a life-changing contract. But the franchise tag allows Kansas City more time to shop him on the trade market or find common ground on a long-term deal.
