James Maddison assisted the South Korean after Jorginho erred, and the North London derby ended 2-2 on Sunday.
Son Heung-min, a forward for Tottenham, scored twice against Arsenal on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium to give Spurs a point.
After a dominating Arsenal team had taken the lead on a Cristian Romero own goal late in the first half, the South Korean equalized by flicking a shot in off the post after some excellent play from James Maddison.
The 31-year-old then made it 2-2 in the second half as Tottenham responded right away from the restart after Arsenal had regained the lead as a result of a Bukayo Saka penalty.
The Arsenal supporters were ecstatic when Saka successfully converted from the penalty spot after VAR had called Romero for handball.
Their happiness, however, was short-lived because Son scored another equalizer shortly after Jorginho was fouled by Maddison for having the ball stuck under his feet after the kickoff.
After six rounds of the Premier League play this season, there were no additional goals scored, resulting in a tie in the derby between Arsenal and Tottenham.
With four victories and two draws from their six games in 2023–24, Tottenham and Arsenal are fourth and fifth, respectively.
Before traveling to Bournemouth in the Premier League the following Saturday, Arsenal is now playing Brentford away in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.
Spurs’ next match is in the Premier League on Saturday at home against Liverpool, having already been eliminated from the EFL Cup.
