BREAKING: Green Bay Packers Star Player Misses Practice Due To Troubling New Injury.
A vital member of the Green Bay Packers defense missed Thursday’s practice with a troubling injury he recently received. The Packers were conducting their second day of practice this week as they prepared to play the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round.
The game’s outcome could determine who coaches the Dallas Cowboys (or the Packers DC) next season. Former Packers coach Mike McCarthy is on the hot seat this postseason. The Cowboys are linked to Bill Belichick as a possible replacement for McCarthy.
The Packers, who have the youngest NFL team to make the playoffs since the Buffalo Bills in 1974, have a low probability of pulling an upset of the Cowboys this week. Part of that has to do with injuries. One key veteran defender is dealing with two injuries this week.
Green Bay Packers CB Alexander missed Thursday’s practice
According to Matt Schneidman with The Athletic, Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander missed Thursday’s practice due to an ankle injury. Alexander’s ankle injury popped up in the Wild Card injury report this week following the Packers’ win over the Chicago Bears.
Jaire Alexander is not practicing today because of an ankle injury, not the should
Alexander was limited at practice Tuesday due to the injuries.
Alexander’s 2023 season has been plagued by multiple injuries, including his back and shoulder. He’s only played in seven games this season. However, Alexander missed one game due to serving a suspension.
The Packers will hope Alexander can return to practice Friday. They’ll need him against a Cowboys offense with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb playing All-Pro football this winter.
