Fabio Capello outlined why Juventus has an advantage in the title race this year, but he also acknowledged that Inter ‘have a more equipped group’.
With victories over Udinese, Empoli, and Lazio in three of their first four matches, the Bianconeri have had a good start to the season. Only a 1-1 tie with Bologna, which put them two points behind the Nerazzurri at the top of the standings, represented the team’s only minor blip.
Juventus agreed to be banned from the Conference League and will not compete in European play this season as a result of their numerous off-the-field troubles from previous season.
Speaking on page 5 of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport, Capello began by highlighting the advantages Juventus will experience by not participating in any European competitions.
“The Scudetto has an advantage over the European Cups. When we were disqualified from competing in Europe in 1991–1992, it was the same for my Milan, and it will be the same for this.
