Breaking: Green Bay Packers Score On First 4 Possessions.
Green Bay Packers fans! It has happened! This offense has produced more points in one half that what they have in a lot of full games this season! Attacking the Carolina Panthers on the ground, and through the air, this offense has found a nice offensive rhythm in the first half, while the defense is also showing their ability to limit the Panthers offense.
Green Bay Packers Great First Half Production
For the first time since 2016, the Green Bay Packers have produced points on all four of their first possessions. Allowing for a 23-10 lead of the Carolina Panthers at the half.
Considering that three of those possessions ended in touchdowns, with only one made field goal attempt needed, the first half stat line shows a much needed promising start. Not only moving the chains, they have been able to convert yards into touchdowns, not having to settle for field goals against a depleted Carolina Panthers roster.
Green Bay Packers Running Attack
The first drive of this Green Bay Packers really set the tone. They leaned on the run, and showed the desire to dominate the line of scrimmage and time of possession. With a heavy dosage of Aaron Jones, and an opening drive that was capped by an AJ Dillon touchdown from the one yard line, it really showed some resolve, after weeks of a disjointed team that has not looked on the same page throughout the past weeks.
Even on the drive that ended in a field goal, Aaron Jones looked really good on his rushing attempts. He has showed a great motor, breaking tackles, and had a huge 39 yard gain on that play that really was a good illustration of their collective efforts of the day so far.
Green Bay Packers Concern
Unfortunately, it was not all good news. For a Green Bay Packers team that has already lost Jayden Reed, and Christian Watson before the game even started, losing Dontayvion Wicks hurts a lot.
Already being young and thin at wide receiver, the players that had to step up at the beginning of the game, have an even bigger opportunity to showcase their skills, and help the Green Bay Packers get an all important must-win game.
