Former Seattle Mariners Ace Marco Gonzales to Be Traded Again This Offseason, Per Reports.
The Atlanta Braves are expected to trade left-handed pitcher Marco Gonzales again this offseason, despite just acquiring him on Sunday night from the Seattle Mariners.

Initially, it was thought that Gonzales could end up serving as starting rotation depth for Atlanta, but evidently, they solely took on his salary for the opportunity to acquire former top prospects Jarred Kelenic and Evan White, to a lesser extent.
It’s a disappointing stretch for Gonzales, who is actually one of the more important Mariners in recent memory.
Acquired from the St. Louis Cardinals in 2017, Gonzales was meant to be a building block for the next wave of M’s contending teams. He was just that, winning 13 games in 2018 when the M’s last went for it with the Nelson Cruz, Kyle Seager, Felix Hernandez and Robinson Cano group.
