New Green Bay linebacker spent training camp with Denver.
The Green Bay Packers signed LB Austin Ajiake to the practice squad. The transaction was announced Tuesday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
(AH-g-kay) Ajiake (6-2, 223), a rookie, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas by the Denver Broncos on Aug. 3, 2023, but was released following training camp. He went on to spend time on the Las Vegas Raiders’ practice squad. Ajiake played in 48 games with 20 starts for UNLV (2018-22), recording 232 tackles (117 solo), 12 tackles for a loss, four sacks, two interceptions, a pass defensed and a fumble recovery. He earned first-team All-Mountain West honors after finishing No. 5 in the country and tying for No. 4 in school history with 132 tackles (59 solo) in 2022. Ajiake will wear No. 49 for the Packers.
