NY METS!!!New Mets Injury Announcement Before Red Sox Game………. Check out everything in full

The New York Mets are currently grappling with several significant injuries as they prepare to face the Boston Red Sox. Starting pitcher Sean Manaea has been sidelined with a right oblique strain, which is expected to keep him out until mid-to-late April. This injury is a considerable setback for the Mets’ rotation, especially following the earlier loss of Frankie Montas to a high-grade lat strain, sidelining him until at least mid-May.

In response to these pitching challenges, the Mets have signed right-hander José Ureña to a minor-league deal. The 33-year-old Ureña, who posted a 3.80 ERA with the Texas Rangers last season, could earn up to $2 million if he joins the major-league roster. This move aims to bolster the Mets’ pitching depth amid the current injury crisis.

Offensively, the Mets are dealing with the loss of infielder Nick Madrigal, who suffered a left shoulder fracture during a recent exhibition game. Madrigal’s injury is expected to sideline him for the entire 2025 season, prompting the Mets to explore alternative infield options. Potential replacements include 22-year-old prospect Luisangel Acuña and newly acquired infielder Alexander Canario, obtained from the Chicago Cubs.

These injuries present significant challenges for the Mets as they approach their matchup against the Red Sox, necessitating strategic adjustments both on the mound and in the infield.
