Breaking news:Number 70 is eligible: Bills re-sign sixth OL Alec Anderson for………..

The Buffalo Bills have re-signed offensive lineman Alec Anderson to a one-year contract for the 2025 season. Anderson, 25, entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent from UCLA in 2022, initially joining the Bills’ practice squad before being elevated to the active roster in 2023. In the 2024 season, he appeared in all 17 regular-season games, making four starts, and participated in 27% of the team’s offensive snaps.

Serving primarily as the sixth offensive lineman, Anderson played a pivotal role in formations that bolstered the Bills’ rushing attack. According to ESPN, Buffalo led the NFL in rushes (54), yards per run (5.2), and yards per play (6.8) when employing six offensive linemen. His contributions also helped ensure quarterback Josh Allen was the least sacked quarterback in the league during the past season.

Given his status as an exclusive rights free agent, Anderson’s return was anticipated, with the contract expected to be for one year at the league minimum. His versatility and performance have solidified his role within the Bills’ offensive line, and the team looks forward to his continued contributions in the upcoming season.
