Agreement is being finalized as Villa ace prepares to leave, according to information

Philippe Coutinho is apparently about to cement his exit from Aston Villa as he’s thought to be finalizing a move to Al Duhail, according to information. Agreement is said to be being concluded as Villa ace prepares to leave.
The 31-year-old originally joined Villa from Barcelona on loan in January 2022, and following a strong second half of that season, he was granted a permanent transfer last summer.
However, due to injuries and form issues, he has only made a total of 43 games for us, during which he has scored six goals and provided three assists.

It’s fair to say that, despite our continued desire to see him succeed for us, it simply isn’t enough of a return for a crucial player with an important function and a sizable wage, with Villa also maybe making a mistake in giving him a deal that runs until June 2026.

Fabrizio Romano, however, claims that Coutinho is about to leave for Al Duhail in a loan deal and, more crucially, that they would pay for his wage.

The Brazilian playmaker also turned down offers from clubs in Europe, so it appears that he will transfer to Qatar for at least a year. A decision on his long-term future will undoubtedly be made next summer.

This comes after journalist Ben Jacobs tweeted that Coutinho was already in Qatar for his physical, as shown below.

Despite the fact that Villa were unable to sell him for a high price given some of the transfers we witnessed to the Middle East this past summer, the crucial information regarding his wage will still make a huge difference from a financial standpoint.

It’s regrettable from a sports perspective that the transaction couldn’t have been finalized before our transfer deadline, giving Unai Emery and the hierarchy a chance to fill that hole and replace him.

However, given the apparent willingness to let him leave anyhow, that may tell us everything we need to know about Emery’s view of Coutinho as being unnecessary. Nevertheless, it is hoped that this season we will have enough quality and depth at the Spaniard’s disposal to ensure we are competitive and successful on multiple fronts.
