Watford are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign 27-year-old goalkeeper Egil Selvik from Udinese. Selvik, who joined Udinese earlier this month after his contract with Haugesund expired, has attracted interest from the Hornets as they seek to bolster their goalkeeping options.
Prior to his move to Udinese, Selvik was linked with Norwich City, who were keen on securing his services to strengthen their squad. However, the Norwegian international opted for a move to Italy instead.
Despite the interest from Watford, the transfer is not yet finalized, as Selvik’s approval is still pending. The Championship side is awaiting the player’s decision to proceed with the move.
