Sports Illustrated Red Sox Predicted To Land All-Star Righty Slugger On 6-Year, $165 Million Deal……..

According to a recent article by Jackson Roberts on Sports Illustrated, MLB analyst Deesha Thosar of FOX Sports predicts that the Boston Red Sox will sign free-agent infielder Alex Bregman to a six-year, $165 million contract. Thosar suggests that Bregman, a two-time World Series champion, would be an ideal fit for the Red Sox, potentially switching positions to play second base in Boston.

Bregman, 30, boasts an impressive résumé, including two All-Star selections, two Silver Slugger Awards, a Gold Glove, and participation in 59 playoff victories. His offensive prowess is particularly notable at Fenway Park, where he has achieved a 1.245 OPS in 98 plate appearances—the highest by any hitter in the stadium’s history with a minimum of 95 plate appearances.

While there is currently limited momentum toward finalizing this deal, the prediction is grounded in sound logic. Red Sox fans remain hopeful that the team will secure Bregman’s talents, especially considering his previous success under former Houston manager Alex Cora, who is now with Boston.
