Perhaps the seemingly endless debates about Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese could be put to bed-at least for now. Clark beat Reese for the much-coveted Rookie of the Year plum on Thursday. The Fever star, who received 66 votes, could’ve been a unanimous winner if not for the single vote Reese earned.

The 22-year-old Clark could’ve joined an elite club, which includes teammate Aliyah Boston in 2023, A’ja Wilson in 2018, Elena Delle Donne in 2013 and Tina Charles in 2010. Still, Clark instantly became the toast of the town after her latest feat. Multiple athletes and brands congratulated her. It’s safe to assume that she will continue to hog the headlines in the coming days.
