LeBron James Responds to Caitlin Clark’s Triple-Double in Five Words

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark wrote another chapter of her historic WNBA rookie season on Wednesday. Notching her second career triple-double in a win over the Los Angeles Sparks, Clark became just the sixth player in WNBA history with multiple career triple-doubles (via StatMamba on X). Already the only rookie in WNBA history to record even one triple-double, Clark continues to break new records. Named Eastern Conference Player of the Month prior to Wednesday’s win, Clark carried that momentum into the game against Los Angeles.

Tallying 24 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds against the Sparks, Clark is now averaging 18.9 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.8 rebounds on the season.

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has been a vocal supporter of Clark throughout her rookie season, and shared a five-word reaction to her triple-double on Instagram.

While both are incredibly unique, James and Clark each entered their respective leagues with unprecedented hype. Clark has a long career ahead of her, but she is amid a historic rookie campaign much like James was in 2003 when he averaged 20.9 points, 5.9 assists and 5.5 rebounds en route to Rookie of the Year. The favorite most places to win that award herself, Clark has strengthened her case since the Olympic break.
