Following a Green Brigade fan argument over the Israel-Palestine conflict, Liel Abada was informed he was “finished” at Celtic.

Last week, following the Green Brigade’s pro-Palestine protest, the Israeli winger played against Celtic.

According to Israeli football analyst Avishai Sela, Liel Abada must find a method to end his recently signed long-term contract with Celtic because he is “finished” there.

He also cautioned him that following the club’s dispute with the Green Brigade, he might face jeers upon his injury return. Last Saturday, when Hamas strikes in Israel changed the course of the crisis, the Celtic ultras held a demonstration in support of Palestine. The conflict, which has targeted Palestine as well, is still going on. After Abada had talks with the Celtic hierarchy, Celtic issued a statement criticizing the Green Brigade for their performance.

Nir Bitton, a former Celtic midfielder, also criticized the fans for their behavior, and now Sela has informed Abada that he needs to find a way out of the team. He acknowledges that it will be challenging to break the contract he only signed last month and that Abada has subsequently missed due to injury.

But because it will be challenging for him to play in front of the Celtic Park crowd after the performance, he has been advised that it would be in his best interests to find a move away from Celtic.

“It’s excellent that Abbada won’t give up, and the Celtic audience will undoubtedly keep waving Palestinian flags and denouncing Israel. It is quite evident that it will also cause jeers to be directed at Abada whenever he plays. Abada will decide for himself. But the ability to advocate for oneself is something that should be valued.

“I don’t value the situation, but it appears like Liel Abada’s time at Celtic has come to an end. He probably wouldn’t perform for supporters who didn’t want him. Even though the financial position may appear complicated, in all instances that we are aware of, the player ultimately prevails. Finding a place elsewhere is in the player’s best interest.
