A former Manchester United manager will replace the manager of Rangers.

 

After John Eustace, who had ties to Rangers, was fired from Birmingham City, Manchester United icon Wayne Rooney IS expected to take over.

According to the Guardian, who also claims that England’s second-highest goalscorer (53) is now poised to take over at the Championship club, this is the case.It follows Wayne Rooney’s departure from MLS club DC United earlier this week and amid persistent rumors that a transfer to Birmingham and the English Championship was imminent.

Rooney, 37, was targeted because he had failed to advance to the MLS Playoffs in the United States for a second straight season.

According to the source, Birmingham City supporters who credit the former Watford and Stoke City player with a recent comeback would “rankle” over the decision to fire John Eustace.

Although the departing Birmingham manager is not anticipated to assume the helm at Ibrox, the Guardian article also highlights those John Eustace connections with Rangers.
