The most recent Nottingham Forest player movement is that Murillo was reportedly being watched by a number of clubs before to his arrival at the City Ground, including Man City.

Murillo was reportedly signed by Nottingham Forest in the summer, defeating opposition from a few “big clubs” like Manchester City.

The Brazilian center back moved from Brazilian club Corinthians to Forest in the last days of the summer transfer window. The 21-year-old was acquired by Forest for about £10.4 million, with the possibility of add-ons raising the cost by an additional €3 million (£2.6 million).

For the defender’s first three games with Forest, the team completely omitted him from the lineup. But his inclusion for the 1-1 draw with Brentford at the beginning of the month was unexpected.

Murillo kept his spot in the starting lineup for Saturday’s draw against Crystal Palace after impressing with his performance at the City Ground. In the 0-0 draw, he assisted his team in maintaining a perfect record.

It appears like Forest had to act quickly this summer to sign the center-back. The Athletic claims that a number of major organizations, including Man City, kept an eye on the 21-year-old during the transfer period.

Murillo has only participated in one complete senior football season, which was his rookie year with Corinthians. He played a total of 31 times throughout the season, but after displaying his attacking talent in his early Forest games, he has yet to score a senior goal.

He’s 21 years old, learning the language and getting to know the place, but he’s still a fantastic boy. Nobody will overreact, but he has a great deal of talent, and it’s fun working with him. I’ve had some experience working with these young boys, providing them with chances, and assisting them in taking advantage of those opportunities.

“Like I mentioned, he has a really positive attitude, commits to training every day, and is really interested in the learning that we do off the field as well. He’s off to a strong start, too. He doesn’t travel abroad, so we can continue working with him and building on what he’s demonstrated here.
