Breaking: Luis Palma sends a message to a Celtic supporter.
Celtic won by three goals to one against Kilmarnock on Saturday afternoon, with strikes from Luis Palma, Reo Hatate, and Greg Taylor securing victory for the Bhoys. It was a deserved win and one that strengthened the champions’ strong position at the top of the table.
After the match, a few players posted on social media, Luis Palma being the latest. The Honduran winger scored his side’s second of the afternoon from range and said on Twitter ‘We never give up. We continue focused on our objectives’:
What is particularly interesting about this post is the ‘We Never Give Up’ part of it. Last week, Matt O’Riley said the same thing on Instagram and it appears it is a motto that is common among the team.
In recent years under Ange Postecoglou, ‘We Never Stop’ was the renowned phrase but since Brendan Rodgers has returned to the helm, things have changed. ‘We Never Give Up’ now seems to be the mantra in Glasgow’s east end, and it is not a bad one to have.
