After suffering an ankle injury in Week 7 of the UFL season, former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback AJ McCarron was sidelined, unable to play for the St. Louis Battlehawks. Stepping in as his replacement is Manny Wilkins, a name familiar to Green Bay Packers fans.

The Packers signed Wilkins as an undrafted free agent in 2019 following his three-year tenure with the Arizona State Sun Devils. Although he didn’t make the main roster, with Aaron Rodgers and Tom Boyle ahead of him, Wilkins secured a spot on the practice squad for his rookie season.

On Saturday, Manny Wilkins continued to excel in the running game, amassing 51 rushing yards and scoring two rushing touchdowns against the Arlington Renegades. Despite his efforts, the Battlehawks were unable to secure a victory, with the Renegades putting up 36 points.

With the help of Wilkins’ two rushing touchdowns, including a dramatic score on a fourth and goal play just before halftime, the Battlehawks managed to hold a brief lead in the second half of the game.
