“Sleeper” is how Christian Mahogany is listed.

Christian Mahogany has a Jonah Jackson-like style of play.

After the 2024 NFL season ended, the Detroit Lions offensive line saw a slight transformation. Jonah Jackson, the starting left guard, signed a free agent contract to play for the Los Angeles Rams. Detroit is relying on Graham Glasgow, an experienced player, to repeat his 2023 success. Additionally, it is anticipated that Kevin Zeitler, a free agent acquired by Motown, will maintain his excellent performance after leaving the Baltimore Ravens.

The Athletic recently included rookie offensive lineman Christian Mahogany on a list of draft sleepers who might have an immediate impact in the NFL because of his talent.

Writer Nick Baumgardner claims, “If it weren’t for injury worries, Mahogany may have played on Day 2. Like Jackson did when he emerged from college, he possesses the kind of strength (and a nasty attitude) that should translate to the NFL right away. Mahogany will face early competition from seasoned player Kevin Zeitler, but if he opens the season as the sixth lineman, he’ll be a simple plug-and-play backup. He fits the culture perfectly and will be a future starter in Detroit.” Hank Fraley, the offensive line coach, has led Detroit to great success over the last two seasons, leading his team to the top spot in the league.
