After Juan Soto’s monumental 15-year, $765 million contract with the New York Mets, shortstop Francisco Lindor expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition. Lindor shared his initial reaction by reposting an image of himself and Soto on his Instagram Story, accompanied by a trio of eyeball emojis, signaling his excitement about the new partnership.
In a subsequent interview, Lindor conveyed his eagerness to collaborate with Soto, stating, “I can’t wait to be a teammate of his for the next seven years.” He also humorously added, “I can’t wait to watch him from my house,” referring to the duration of their overlapping contracts.
Lindor further emphasized his commitment to team success, highlighting his role in setting the stage for Soto’s offensive impact. He remarked, “I have to get on base and let him do what he does. He’s one of the best hitters in the game.”
