Michigan football is actively pursuing top talent for its 2025 recruiting class, with several high-profile prospects scheduling official visits to Ann Arbor. One notable target is four-star linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng from IMG Academy in Florida. Standing at 6-foot and weighing 205 pounds, Owusu-Boateng ranks as the 75th overall prospect and the ninth linebacker in his class. He has expressed strong interest in Michigan, especially after a recent visit with his family that exceeded his expectations. He highlighted the coaching staff’s commitment to player development both on and off the field. Owusu-Boateng is considering a return visit to Michigan for the high-profile game against Texas, with plans to make his college decision by November or during the National Signing Day in December.

Another significant prospect is four-star cornerback Donovan Starr from Brentwood, Tennessee. Currently committed to Auburn, Starr has scheduled an official visit to Michigan for the end of October. At 6-foot and 176 pounds, he is known for his exceptional speed, boasting a verified 10.56-second 100-meter dash. Starr’s connections to Michigan include former high school teammates now playing for the Wolverines, which could influence his decision. However, Michigan faces stiff competition from programs like Alabama, which has recently extended an offer to Starr.

In addition to these individual pursuits, Michigan is gearing up for a significant recruiting weekend as they host rival Michigan State. The Wolverines plan to welcome several coveted recruits, including five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola and four-star athletes Elijah Dotson and Bradley Gompers, who are currently committed to Pittsburgh and Duke, respectively. This weekend presents a crucial opportunity for Michigan to strengthen its 2025 class and potentially flip commitments from other programs.
