Just in;Steve Cohen Used 1 Word To Describe Negotiations With Pete Alonso..,…..

New York Mets owner Steve Cohen recently described the ongoing contract negotiations with star first baseman Pete Alonso as “exhausting.” Despite the Mets making a significant offer, Alonso’s camp, led by agent Scott Boras, has rejected the proposal, seeking a more substantial deal. This impasse has led Cohen to express frustration over the process.

Alonso, who has been with the Mets since 2019, is now a free agent seeking a contract that reflects his value and contributions to the team. Cohen has indicated that the proposals received are heavily skewed against the team, creating uncertainty about Alonso’s future with the Mets.

In response to the stalled negotiations, the Mets have made strategic moves to prepare for a future without Alonso. They have signed players like Jesse Winker and A.J. Minter and are developing younger talent to potentially fill the first base position. While some fans hope for Alonso’s return, Cohen has acknowledged the possibility of moving forward without him if an agreement cannot be reached.
