Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko is reportedly seeking a move away from the Emirates Stadium, with Borussia Dortmund expressing interest in acquiring his services. According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Dortmund has engaged in concrete discussions with Zinchenko’s representatives in recent days, and the 28-year-old Ukrainian international is keen on departing Arsenal during the January transfer window.

Zinchenko, who earns approximately Β£150,000 per week, has found his playing time limited under manager Mikel Arteta this season, making only seven Premier League appearances, with just two starts. The arrival of Riccardo Calafiori has further reduced Zinchenko’s opportunities, leading both the player and the club to consider a separation. Arsenal is reportedly open to facilitating his exit, potentially through a loan deal that includes an obligation to purchase for around €20 million (Β£17 million).

If Zinchenko departs, Arsenal may not feel an immediate need to secure a direct replacement, given the versatility within their current squad. Players like Jakub Kiwior and emerging talent Myles Lewis-Skelly have demonstrated the capability to cover the left-back position effectively. Meanwhile, Arsenal is anticipated to be active in the January transfer market, particularly in seeking a new striker to compensate for Gabriel Jesus’ injury, which could sideline the Brazilian forward for an extended period.
