According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Los Angeles Dodgers have assembled a potentially historic starting rotation through strategic acquisitions. The team secured two-way star Shohei Ohtani with a 10-year, $700 million contract and added Japanese pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto on a 12-year, $325 million deal. They also traded for Tyler Glasnow from the Tampa Bay Rays, signing him to a five-year, $136.5 million extension.
This formidable rotation is further strengthened by the signing of veteran left-hander James Paxton to a one-year contract. Paxton brings experience and depth, complementing the existing talent of right-handers Walker Buehler, Bobby Miller, and the newly acquired pitchers.
The Dodgers’ aggressive moves have positioned them as a dominant force in Major League Baseball. With a lineup featuring MVPs Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, along with a pitching staff that could be one of the best ever assembled, the team is poised for significant success in the upcoming seasons.
