This honor highlights Warn’s incredible contributions to collegiate baseball and his lasting impact on the sport. His induction is set to take place on March 1, 2024, during a ceremony at the Stifel Theatre in St. Louis, coinciding with the State Farm MVC Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Warn served as Indiana State’s head baseball coach from 1976 to 2006, becoming a prominent figure in the program’s history. Over his 31-year tenure, he established a record of excellence, leading his teams to 1,070 victories and 17 winning seasons. Under Warn’s guidance, Indiana State earned seven conference titles and participated in six NCAA Tournaments. In addition to his team’s success, Warn was recognized individually for his coaching acumen. He received multiple MVC Coach of the Year awards and played a vital role in the development of numerous student-athletes who went on to play professionally. Warn’s leadership extended beyond the field, as he was instrumental in the creation of ISU’s baseball facilities, including the renaming of the Sycamores’ home field to Bob Warn Field in his honor.
The MVC Hall of Fame induction further solidifies Warn’s legacy as one of the most influential figures in the conference’s history. His dedication to fostering talent, combined with his strategic leadership, left an indelible mark on Indiana State baseball and collegiate athletics.
