Georgia Dealt Unfortunate Recruiting News Before SEC Championship Game

The No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs are headed to the SEC championship on Dec. 7, set for a rematch against the No. 2 Texas Longhorns. While both teams have been extremely successful all season, the surprises of Early Signing Day at the high school recruiting level recently stung one program. The Bulldogs were dealt a tough blow with the loss of running back Ousmane Kromah. The Georgia native decommitted from Georgia, flipping his pledge to the Florida State Seminoles.

Kromah is listed as a four-star prospect, per 247Sports. He’s ranked as the No. 4 running back and No. 73 overall player in the class of 2025. The 247Sports director of scouting, Andrew Ivins, delivered a strong report on Kromah, deeming him a “true three-down” running back. “Thrashing running back with downhill tendencies that plays with plenty of urgency,” Ivins said. “Extends runs with dynamic jump cuts and impressive contact balance as he can juke around or power through tacklers. Brings true three-down capabilities to the tables as he’s effective in pass pro and has displayed the ability to create separation.”
