The Indiana Fever wanted to improve on their 2023 Eastern Conference last-place performance by winning the WNBA this year. Due to the arrival of Caitlin Clark, the first overall draft pick from Iowa, they have had little trouble attracting audiences and TV viewers, despite their slow start in terms of performance. The Fever concluded the 2024 WNBA regular season with a 20–20 record, finishing sixth.
