If it weren’t for a number of problems involving the Demons this year, Melbourne may have acquired the most sought-after star of the AFL trade season. As part of a massive transaction that also involved Gold Coast, two-time All-Australian defender Dan Houston was traded from Port Adelaide this week and will now play for Collingwood. North Melbourne and Carlton were also interested in him, but he wanted to play for the Magpies, so he got what he wanted.
