WNBA Fans Attacked Lisa Leslie for Her Strong Opinions on Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark’s ROY Race

A few people were offended by WNBA icon Lisa Leslie’s inflammatory post on Sunday night regarding the current Rookie of the Year competition between Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese and Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark. As the fight for ROY gets closer, both Clark and Reese had strong performances over the weekend in their respective games. Reese recorded yet another double-double and set a new WNBA record for the most rebounds in a single season during the Sky’s loss to the Minnesota Lynx, while Clark finished with 28 points and 12 assists in the Fever’s victory over the Dallas Wings, helping her team to its first winning record of the season (17-16). Despite Reese’s historic first year in the league, many fans would agree Clark is firmly in pole position for the ROY award given the 22-year-old guard’s all-around game and offensive skillset. Leslie, however, would not. The Hall-of-Famer shared a message on social media in which she made a case for both Clark and Reese to win ROY this year.
