The rookie currently leads the league in average turnovers with 5.5 per game. The next closest player behind Clark is Connecticut Sun star Alyssa Thomas, who’s averaging 3.8 turnovers per game this season. When ESPN mentioned Clark as the front-runner to win the Rookie of the Year and presented her as a member of the second team All-WNBA, they made sure to speak on her biggest flaw. They still believe, however, that Clark should be receiving praise for helping the Fever fight for a playoff spot.
Clark also leads the league in turnovers (164), although some of that can be attributed to how much she handles the ball,” ESPN posted. “While it’s an area she will continue to work to improve, Clark’s season so far has been all that the Fever could have hoped for to help them return to the playoffs.”
Indiana currently stands as the No. 7 team in the WNBA rankings with a 14-16 record.
