Corey LaJoie was involved in a frightening crash during the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Fortunately, he was able to exit the vehicle on his own and was subsequently evaluated by the medical team at the track’s infield care center.
According to NASCAR officials, LaJoie was cleared and released from the care center with no major injuries. He was diagnosed with minor bruises and soreness but is otherwise okay.
LaJoie took to social media to express his gratitude for the support and concern from fans, saying: “I’m good, just a little beat up. Appreciate all the texts and calls. Ready to get back at it next week.”
The NASCAR community breathed a collective sigh of relief upon hearing the news of LaJoie’s relatively minor injuries, considering the severity of the crash. LaJoie’s team is likely to assess the damage to their vehicle and prepare for the next event, while LaJoie himself will focus on recovering from the incident.
