Nuno Espirito Santo’s team is aiming to push forward and avoid another season filled with relegation fears, as has been the case in their last two campaigns since rejoining the Premier League.
Nottingham Forest have been making significant moves in the transfer market as they aim to solidify their position in the Premier League. Following two seasons of finishing 16th and 17th, the club is looking to move up the table by bringing in players from top-tier clubs.
Recently, Forest secured a deal for Alex Moreno, a left-back from Aston Villa, who was signed by Unai Emery in January 2023. Despite a solid performance, Moreno has become surplus to requirements at Villa Park after the arrival of Ian Maatsen and the presence of Lucas Digne. Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the move, signaling it with his signature “here we go,” indicating that the deal is set to be completed.
This transfer is part of Forest’s broader strategy to strengthen their squad with players who have experience at top clubs, reflecting their ambition to climb further up the Premier League standings.
