Chicago Bulls fans probably feel hard done by when it comes to their team’s performance over the past couple of seasons.
They had an exciting team with a solid core of players. On paper, the Bulls should have been able to make deep postseason runs. However, the Bulls’ DeMar DeRozan-Zach LaVine era only had one first-round exit in 2022 to show for their efforts.
Questions plagued the team regarding its future after last season ended disappointingly. As their core players started to get older, there was a sense of uncertainty about how the front office would approach this problem.
However, it was quickly made clear that the team wasn’t afraid to hit the reset button. They allowed DeMar DeRozan to sign with the Sacramento Kings and quickly moved to acquire Josh Giddey from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The front office then revealed the logic behind their move and what fans can expect from Chicago in the coming seasons.
