Clippers Are Being Linked To Bulls Star
It’s been quite a while since the Chicago Bulls were a competitive team.
Arturas Karnisovas swung for the fences and tried to make them a driving force in the Eastern Conference again, and while the early returns were most definitely encouraging, the final result never panned out.
Unfortunately for them, they spent plenty of money to keep Zach LaVine around, and that never translated into success.
They’ve been actively shopping LaVine for more than a season now, but to no avail, mostly because of his injury-proneness and steep salary.
However, it seems like the Los Angeles Clippers could give this team a hand, according to a report by Bulls insider Joe Cowley (via NBA Central).

This makes some sense for the Clippers.
They allowed Paul George to leave in free agency, and while they’ve brought in plenty of players to make up for that loss, none of them are on his level.
When healthy, LaVine is a steady 25 points-per-game scorer and a secondary playmaker.
Then again, it’s not like he’s been healthy lately, and he has had some coachability and character issues in the past as well.
From a basketball standpoint and in an ideal situation, the Clippers could definitely benefit from this move.
But they’ve found out the hard way that ideal situations rarely happen in real life, as they failed to reach the NBA Finals even once in five years of Leonard and George because they weren’t able to stay healthy and be both on the court in the playoffs.
