Former Reading FC full-back Clinton Mola has secured a new team after his release from the Royals, signing with League One club Bristol Rovers. Mola joined Reading on a one-year deal as a free transfer and played a crucial role in Ruben Selles’ squad last season. Initially, he faced challenges adapting to life in Berkshire but eventually found his footing, delivering outstanding performances toward the end of the season and helping the team in their fight for survival.
Throughout the last season, Mola made a total of 35 appearances for Reading, 30 of which were in League One. Despite his significant contributions, the club opted not to extend his contract. Mola was released along with fellow full-backs Nesta Guinness-Walker and Matty Carson, leaving him to seek new opportunities elsewhere.
Following his release, Mola has now signed a three-year contract with Bristol Rovers. This new move represents a fresh chapter in his career as he aims to make a substantial impact with his new team. Mola expressed his excitement about joining the Gas, stating, “When I heard the club was in for me, I was very interested. The club has made me feel very wanted, and that was a big part of my decision to join Rovers.”
