AllA’ja Wilson and Caitlin Clark are leadin gthe early fan voting for the WNBA All-Star Game ¹ ² ³ ⁴ ⁵. Wilson, the two-time WNBA MVP, leads the voting with 217,773 votes, followed closely by Clark with 216,427 votes. The WNBA All-Star Game will be held on July 20 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
A’ja Wilson is a five-time All-Star and is currently leading the league in scoring and rebounding, averaging 27.9 points and 11.3 rebounds per game ¹ ² ³ ⁴ ⁵. She recently scored 26 points and had 16 rebounds in a game against the Connecticut Sun, leading her team to victory.
Caitlin Clark is a rookie superstar who has brought a lot of attention to the league ¹ ² ³ ⁴ ⁵. She currently ranks 16th in scoring with 16.3 points per game and third in assists with 6.2 a game. Her presence has helped sell out arenas and set record TV viewing figures.
The All-Stars selected for the USA Basketball Women’s National Team will face off against the WNBA All-Stars, who will be voted in by the fans, coaches, players, and media ¹ ² ³ ⁴ ⁵. The remaining spots in the 12-player roster will be filled by the next 36 highest vote-getters, as chosen by the 12 WNBA head coaches who cannot vote for their own players.
