Celtic FC Foundation is thrilled to announce that Brendan Rodgers and the first-team squad will be joined by Celtic legends Roy Aitken and Stiliyan Petrov at a charity dinner at Notre Dame Stadium on Friday, July 26.
Roy Aitken, known as “The Bear,” started his 15-year career with Celtic at 16 in 1975, eventually captaining the team. He made 672 appearances, scored 52 goals, and won six league titles, five Scottish Cups, and one League Cup.
Stiliyan Petrov, during his seven years with Celtic, made 309 appearances, scored 65 goals, and won the SPL four times, as well as both the Scottish Cup and League Cup three times each.
This Foundation event precedes the first team’s match against Chelsea at the same venue, part of their USA pre-season tour.
