Reading legends Dave Kitson and James Harper have expanded their coaching team at The Dave Kitson Academy by welcoming Arsenal icon David Hillier.
Hillier, a former midfielder for the Gunners who secured the league title under George Graham in 1991 and made over 150 appearances, has been recruited by Kitson to deliver coaching sessions at The Dave Kitson Academy in the west country.
After hanging up his boots, Hillier, who also had stints at Portsmouth, Bristol Rovers, and Barnet, settled in the Bristol area and transitioned to a career as a firefighter with Avon Fire and Rescue.
Tottenham Hotspur fan Dave Kitson now has two former Arsenal players on his coaching team, as James Harper, who joined Reading from the north London club in 2001 after seven years with the Gunners, is joined by David Hillier.
In his initial coaching role for The Dave Kitson Academy, Hillier provided training to Ross Juniors FC, a Ross-on-Wye based team, as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations.
This collaboration brings together Kitson’s passion for coaching with the expertise of two seasoned Arsenal alumni, enriching the development experience at The Dave Kitson Academy.
