SO SAD : Former Packers NFC Arrested Over Disturbing Allegation…..

The Green Bay Packers are entering the 2024 season with the goal of reclaiming the NFC North title. Recently, the division has been dominated by the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions, but the Packers are determined to change that. The team’s future appears promising, with the potential to compete not only within their division but also across the entire league.

Former Minnesota Vikings defensive lineman Everson Griffen was arrested in Minneapolis on suspicion of driving while intoxicated (DWI). He was taken into custody and booked into Hennepin County Jail early Wednesday morning. The Minnesota State Patrol reported that Griffen was stopped by a trooper late Tuesday night for speeding in a Bentley Bentayga on Interstate 35W near 50th Street. The trooper noted signs of impairment, and pending DWI charges.

Griffen’s arrest adds to his history of traffic offenses, including a 2023 drunk-driving charge that concluded with a plea deal in February. The latest incident highlights ongoing legal issues for the former NFL player, raising concerns about his conduct and adherence to traffic laws.

In a plea agreement, Everson Griffen admitted to driving “carelessly” and “at a high rate of speed while weaving in and out of lanes of traffic after consuming alcohol” on July 22, 2023. According to court documents, he was driving a 1968 Pontiac LeMans on Powers Boulevard near Utica Lane in Chanhassen at an estimated 60 mph in a 40 mph zone, while illegally passing vehicles as a deputy tried to catch up to him.
