BREAKING: GREEN BAY PACKER ARE INTERESTED TO SIGN A YOUNG STAR PLAYER AFTER THE NFL DRAFT GAME..

“The Green Bay Packers are currently hosting their 2024 rookie camp with 18 tryout players in attendance, a tradition where the team typically signs one or two prospects. Among the notable participants is quarterback Jacob Eason, a former fourth-round pick who had brief stints with the Colts, Panthers, and most recently, the Giants’ practice squad.

Given the presence of young quarterbacks like Jordan Love, Sean Clifford, and Michael Pratt on the depth chart, the Packers may not be inclined to add another arm to their offseason roster.

Here are five other tryout players who are competing for a coveted spot on the 90-man roster:

1. Wide Receiver Dimitri Stanley: Stanley showcased his skills during his college career at Colorado and Iowa State, totaling 118 receptions for 1,379 yards and five touchdowns. He also demonstrated versatility as a punt returner, averaging 8.7 yards per return. His impressive pro day performance included a 40-yard dash time of 4.52 seconds, catching the eye of coach Matt LaFleur with a remarkable one-handed grab.

2. Guard Lecitus Smith: Originally drafted by the Cardinals in 2022, Smith started two games in his rookie season before being waived. He later had stints on practice squads with the Texans and Eagles. Despite facing stiff competition with 15 offensive linemen currently on the roster, Smith’s college scouting report could still give him an edge.

3. Cornerbacks Kalon Gervin and Don Callis: With uncertainty behind star cornerback Jaire Alexander, there’s an opportunity for depth at the position. Gervin, a product of Michigan State and Kansas, showcased his skills with 15 pass breakups during his college career. Callis, who played at Troy and East Central, brings experience in forcing turnovers, making him a potential asset in the secondary.
