SAD NEWS : Undrafted Iowa Hawkeyes NFL Destinations Revealed in 2024 Draft Fallout…….

In the 2024 NFL Draft, Iowa witnessed the ascent of four of its players into the professional football realm. Cooper DeJean’s journey led him to the 40th overall pick, where the Philadelphia Eagles welcomed him into their ranks. Meanwhile, Erick All’s football prowess earned him a spot with the Cincinnati Bengals in the draft’s fourth round. The Chicago Bears recognized the talent of punter Tory Taylor, securing him shortly after All’s selection. Additionally, the Pittsburgh Steelers saw potential in former Iowa defensive lineman Logan Lee, drafting him in the sixth round to bolster their defensive lineup.

Even as four former Hawkeyes celebrated their selections in the 2024 NFL Draft, attention turned to the undrafted prospects from Iowa, who now embark on their NFL journeys.

Rusty Feth, Iowa’s versatile guard-center, has received an invitation to the Bengals’ rookie minicamp, as reported by Aaron Wilson. This opportunity could pave the way for Feth to showcase his skills and potentially secure a spot on the Bengals’ roster.

Meanwhile, former Iowa defensive lineman Joe Evans has wasted no time in pursuing his NFL dream. According to Scott Dochterman of The Athletic, Evans has inked a deal with the Baltimore Ravens, where he will transition to the role of outside linebacker. This move marks the beginning of a new chapter for Evans as he looks to make his mark in the NFL with the Ravens’ defense.

Evans’ football journey is marked by versatility and adaptability. Beginning as a high school quarterback and linebacker, he transitioned seamlessly to the collegiate level, starting at Iowa as a linebacker before making the shift to defensive end.

During the NFL Draft evaluation process, Evans showcased his multi-dimensional skills by testing as a tight end, hinting at the potential for a positional switch akin to the trajectory of Parker Hesse, who successfully transitioned from college defensive end to NFL tight end.
