Ahead of the Commanders’ Thanksgiving matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, CBS aired a poignant video featuring Taylor’s daughter reminiscing about her father and grappling with life without him.
Taylor, who was selected as the No. 5 overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, enjoyed a remarkable football career despite his premature passing. As a standout safety for the renowned Miami Hurricanes in the early 2000s, Taylor achieved considerable success, including winning a BCS National Championship in 2001 and earning unanimous All-American honors in 2003.
