Despite assuming a more specialized role, acquired through a trade with the Arizona Cardinals prior to the season, Simmons effectively fulfilled his duties, displaying reliability and growth within the team.
Throughout the season, Simmons contributed 50 combined tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack. Additionally, he showcased his playmaking ability with one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and a game-sealing interception returned for a touchdown against the Washington Commanders in Week 11.
