News Report: Packers are eyeing a recently released former All-Pro cornerback……

The Green Bay Packers concluded the 2023 season positively; however, there remain areas where they could enhance their performance, with cornerback being a notable concern.

With Keisean Nixon set to enter free agency and Eric Stokes grappling with injuries over the last couple of seasons—suffering from knee, foot, and hamstring issues—Stokes has been limited to just 12 games since 2022.

Heading into the critical 2024 season, the Packers face uncertainty regarding Stokes’ availability for the entire campaign, as injuries have plagued him.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Pittsburgh Steelers have decided to release cornerback Patrick Peterson.

Speculation is circulating that the Packers should consider pursuing Peterson. Despite being 33 years old, Peterson displayed strong performances for the Steelers in 2023, showcasing exceptional football intelligence and the ability to make impactful plays during passing situations.

Throughout last season, the eight-time Pro Bowler participated in all 17 games, accumulating 42 total tackles, 11 pass deflections, and two interceptions. Notably, the LSU alum has achieved 10 or more pass deflections and at least two interceptions in five seasons of his career.
