DONE DEAL CONFIRMS: Green Bay Packers wide receiver finalized a contract with another team.

In recent years, the Green Bay Packers have seen several wide receivers depart from their roster, including notable names like Davante Adams, Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Despite these changes, Green Bay’s transformation has been remarkable. Emerging talents such as Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, and Jayden Reed have showcased exceptional skills.

Yet, news surfaced today indicating that one former wide receiver is once again available in the market.

Former Green Bay Packers Wide Receiver Abruptly Released.

According to information received by Fowler on Tuesday, the Chiefs are ready to employ the franchise tag on cornerback L’Jarius Sneed if they fail to secure a long-term agreement. To execute this plan, the Chiefs had to generate cap room.

For the upcoming 2024 season, the Chiefs are considering the nonexclusive franchise tag option, which is estimated to be around $19 million.

In 16 regular-season games (2023), Valdes-Scantling had 21 receptions for 315 yards with a touchdown, and in four postseason games, he had eight receptions for 128 yards with a touchdown.

After completing his rookie contract with Green Bay, Valdes-Scantling spent the last two seasons with Kansas City. In his career, he has 186 catches for 3,155 yards and 16 touchdowns.
