DONE DEAL CONFIRMED: Atlanta Braves finalized a major trade, indicating a bold and impactful decision.

The Atlanta Braves may have made one of the most impactful trades.
The Atlanta Braves may have executed one of the most impactful trades yet again, demonstrating their knack for winning in the trade market.
This time, they seem to have secured a steal with left-handed veteran Chris Sale, acquired from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for infielder Vaughn Grissom plus cash. Sale, expressing newfound health and vigor since the trade, showcased his prowess during his Grapefruit League debut for Atlanta against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
His performance was dominant, pitching two scoreless innings with no hits, no walks, and four strikeouts, showcasing impressive fastball speeds of 95 and 97 mph. This is a notable improvement considering his previous season’s average fastball speed of 93.9 mph, especially after battling through injuries that limited his playing time. Despite concerns about his health, Atlanta swiftly signed Sale to a two-year extension, demonstrating their confidence in his abilities and commitment to managing his contract terms.
The decision to acquire Sale over pursuing other options like Dylan Cease from the Chicago White Sox, deemed too expensive by Braves’ president of baseball operations Alex Anthopoulos, suggests a calculated risk that Atlanta hopes will pay off in postseason success.
Acuna shares his thoughts on being named the best baseball player in the MLB.

For the first time in 13 years, a player that does not play in Los Angeles was named the No. 1 player in the MLB. That player just so happens to be a member of the Atlanta Braves – No. 13, Ronald Acuña Jr.

Acuña was named the best player in baseball by MLB Network and he recently made an appearance to share his thoughts on the great honor.

Acuña and the Braves interpreter, Franco Garcia, joined MLB Network as Acuña fielded a few questions about being named the best player in baseball. The biggest surprise of the interview was Franco not having to say anything. Ronald has improved in English so much that he fielded all of the questions and answered them by himself!

Here are a few of the questions he was asked. Ron Darling brought up how Acuña reminds him of his former teammate in Oakland, Rickey Henderson. Henderson is widely known as one of the best leadoff hitters and best basestealers in MLB history. Darling asked Acuña if that is the kind of legacy he wants to have.
