SAD NEWS: prominent player from the Arkansas Razorbacks suffers from a Catastrophic injury……..

Texas A&M (3-1, 1-0 SEC) secured a victory last Saturday against the Auburn Tigers (3-1, 0-1 SEC) with a score of 27-10, thanks to the second-half performance of backup quarterback Max Johnson. This came after starting quarterback Conner Weigman suffered an ankle injury late in the first half.

This upcoming Saturday, Texas A&M will head to AT&T Stadium to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks (2-2, 0-1 SEC) in a highly anticipated college football rivalry.

Following Monday’s press conference, head coach Jimbo Fisher initially described Weigman’s injury as “day-to-day.” However, a Wednesday report by Brent Zwerneman of the Houston Chronicle suggested a more serious prognosis, with Billy Liucci of TexAgs confirming that Weigman has a broken bone in his foot, ending his 2023 season with an estimated 3.5-month recovery period.

Veteran quarterback Max Johnson will now lead the team for the remainder of the 2023 season. Known as the best backup in college football, Johnson, the son of former Super Bowl-winning quarterback Brad Johnson, is poised to help the Aggies achieve their goals.

On the injury front, Fisher announced that sophomore wide receiver Noah Thomas is set to return on Saturday, while right tackle Reuben Fatheree II continues to rehab from a spring knee injury, likely delaying his return to the starting lineup. Starting safety Jardin Gilbert is expected to miss his second consecutive game.

As for Arkansas, star running back Raheim “Rocket” Sanders remains questionable for Saturday’s game but is expected to play, while wide receiver Sam Mbake is ruled out.
