Latest News: The Orleans Saints have made a notable decision by adding a former Buccaneers quarterback to their roster………

The New Orleans Saints have recruited a former Buccaneers quarterback, marking a significant move, alongside the notable inclusion of an assistant coach for running backs.

The latest addition to the coaching roster of the Bears brings in Ryan Griffin, a former quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Following a disappointing 7-10 season in 2023, the Chicago Bears decided to revamp their coaching staff for the upcoming 2024 season. This overhaul began with the appointment of new coordinators Shane Waldron, formerly with the Seahawks, and Eric Washington, who previously coached the defensive line in Buffalo.

Further augmenting the staff was the historic hiring of, the first female coach in Bears history, as assistant running backs coach. Now, joining this wave of changes is Ryan Griffin, who previously played for the New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

A tweet from Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team announced Griffin’s new role as an offensive assistant, focusing on quarterbacks and wide receivers. Despite a decade-long NFL career spanning from 2013 to 2022, Griffin’s playing time was limited, appearing in only one game and attempting four passes. However, during his time in the league, he had the opportunity to learn from notable quarterbacks like Drew Brees and Tom Brady, whom he famously assisted during the Buccaneers’ Super Bowl victory parade in 2021.

With Griffin’s arrival, questions arise about his connections within the Bears coaching staff, particularly with quarterbacks Caleb Williams and Justin Fields. The only notable link found was with Kerry Joseph, who previously interned with the Buccaneers during Griffin’s tenure there and now serves as the Bears’ quarterbacks coach.

Additionally, Griffin’s background includes attending Chaminade College Prep in Los Angeles and growing up in Santa Monica, suggesting a possible California connection that may further intertwine with the Bears’ coaching dynamics.
