KEY POINT WHILE KIRBY SMART SACK ONE OF HIS CRUCIAL PLAY…

Coming off the No. 1 recruiting class in 2024, Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are looking to add another title to the mantle in 2025.

The state of Georgia is loaded in the rising senior class, punctuated by multiple five-stars that are either committed to UGA or are major targets. They’ve already got a head start with commitments from two of the top five in-state targets pledged and two more trending in their direction.

The Bulldogs have five commitments early on in the cycle but already sit at No. 3 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Georgia Class Breakdown

Of Georgia’s five commitments, two project to the offensive side of the ball and three are expected to play defense at the next level. Five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry of Manchester (Ga.) ranks highest among the group, checking in at No. 8 nationally.

Along with Terry, tight end Elyiss Williams and linebacker Jadon Perlotte rank among the top 60 prospects in the country. And all five current commits hail from the Peach State, with an average distance from Athens of just 98.2 miles.

Top Bulldogs Offensive Commit: TE Elyiss Williams

One of two elite offensive prospects in Georgia this cycle, Williams ranks as the nation’s No. 17 overall prospect and No. 1 tight end nationally at this point. On3’s Scouting and Rankings team writes this about him as a prospect:

“Rare combination of athleticism and size for the tight end position. Stands in at nearly 6-foot-7 with crazy bounce and ability to play above the rim which stems from his dominance on the hardwood. Smooth mover in space that can win vertically up the seam with his top-end speed. Has the fluidity and looseness in his hips in order to win in intermediate routes as well. Physical and more than willing blocker at the line of scrimmage. Plays with tenacity and ferocity at the point of attack. Comfortable pass catcher but will need to get stronger catching the ball away from his frame more consistently. Has all the physical and athletic tools that offensive coaches covet at the position. Extremely high upside prospect.”

Top Defensive Commit: DL Justus Terry

No program has recruited elite defensive lineman like Georgia has, and Terry has taken notice. He committed to the Bulldogs more than a year ago, and while other programs remain in pursuit.S Sports mock draftfollowing Super Bowl“Tremendous frame and build for an interior defensive line prospect. Stands in at 6-foot-5, 275 pounds with excellent weight distribution throughout his frame. Wins with first step and lateral quickness, has rare get off and leverage for a player of his stature. Quality bend and ability to change direction, comfortable in space. Uses his length to initiate contact consistently and sheds blockers with ease. Able to anchor and two-gap if asked to in run support. Will need to continue to fill out and gain functional play strength at the next level. Should be able to carry an extra 20-30 pounds on his frame. High upside prospect who will be in consideration for a first round selection in the NFL Draft.”
